1. Occupy 占領(lǐng)
事件回放: 2011年9月17日,近千名美國(guó)民眾在紐約金融中心華爾街舉行示威游行,通過(guò)和平靜坐等形式,聲討華爾街金融業(yè)者,抗議美國(guó)政治的權(quán)錢(qián)交易、兩黨政治斗爭(zhēng)以及社會(huì)不公正;這股浪潮蔓延到美國(guó)50多個(gè)大城市。這場(chǎng)大規(guī)模的和平示威活動(dòng)被稱(chēng)為“占領(lǐng)華爾街”。

The Occupy movement had protestors rebuffing the "elite" and chanting “We are the 99%” worldwide in 2011. "Occupy" became so popular (it's GLM's "Word of the Year"), that the "99%" who weren't living in tents (most of us) starting using it to express dissatisfaction with everyday affairs. ie. "Occupy this sandwich."
在占領(lǐng)運(yùn)動(dòng)中,抗議者抵制1%的少數(shù)大財(cái)團(tuán)和富有者,并打出“我們是99%”的口號(hào)。“占領(lǐng)”一詞被“全球語(yǔ)言監(jiān)測(cè)機(jī)構(gòu)”評(píng)為“年度熱詞”。99%的美國(guó)民眾開(kāi)始用這一詞匯表達(dá)他們對(duì)日常事務(wù)的不滿。例如“占領(lǐng)這塊三明治”。
