在上面的報(bào)道中，on-scene investigation就是“現(xiàn)場(chǎng)調(diào)查”。On-scene的意思是“現(xiàn)場(chǎng)的”，例如：an on-scene report（現(xiàn)場(chǎng)報(bào)道）；live on-scene TV coverage（電視現(xiàn)場(chǎng)實(shí)況報(bào)道）。
表示“現(xiàn)場(chǎng)”我們還可以用on-the-spot、on-site和live等詞匯來(lái)表示。例如：on-the-spot report（現(xiàn)場(chǎng)報(bào)道），on-site inspection（實(shí)地核查，現(xiàn)場(chǎng)核查）。Live主要指“現(xiàn)場(chǎng)直播，實(shí)況轉(zhuǎn)播”，例如：The football game was televised live.（足球比賽在電視上直播。）
