The age of fast pace is a period of time when people are experiencing a fast-paced life as well as a tight work schedule. People in this period are under a lot of pressure, always in heated competition, and never have a minute of rest.
急時代(the age of fast pace)是指生活、工作節(jié)奏過快的時代。壓力大、競爭激烈、忙碌勞累是生活在這一時代的人的特點。
People often press the close button when they step into an elevator instead of waiting for it to close automatically, drivers behind you honk their horns repeatedly if you are just a few seconds slow at the turn of a green light.
電梯明明可以自動關(guān)閉,總有人急切地伸出手去按關(guān)門鍵;綠燈亮了汽車起步晚半秒鐘,后面的司機就會按喇叭催促。
People will never experience the pleasure of being slow because they are always in a hurry. They are overworked mentally and physically, without knowing where they are going.
因為急,人們體會不到慢的快樂與愉悅。在急時代中,所有人的精力和體力都在透支,卻很少有人能說清楚自己的目的地在哪里。
