時下有句流行語：為了你的奧迪，老婆的迪奧，孩子的奧利奧，好好奮斗吧！但是在種族主義者眼里，奧利奧（Oreo）則變成一種對黑皮膚、白人心的諷喻。
An Oreo is a racist slur based on racist stereotypes wrongly assuming that intelligence, articulateness, dapperness, and manners are traits of whites and not blacks. Therefore, a black who possesses these traits is an oreo, white on the inside and black on the outside. A corollary slur is banana, yellow (Asian) on the outside and white on the inside.
奧利奧是一種基于刻板印象的種族侮辱，這種種族成見是因為錯誤地假定聰慧、口齒清楚、整潔、禮貌都是白人而非黑人的特質(zhì)而產(chǎn)生的。因此，有這種特質(zhì)的黑人就叫奧利奧，外表是黑皮膚，內(nèi)在和白人一樣。依此類推另一個種族侮辱是香蕉，黃皮膚的外表和白人的內(nèi)在。
Often Oreos are educated, intelligent, goal-oriented and the respectful of the business community，such as President Barack Obama, billionaire and television mogul Oprah Winfrey. However, in the eyes of the dominant Black African American community, they are "guilty" of being "White" on the inside.
奧利奧通常都受過良好的教育，聰明，目標明確，受到商界的尊重，例如奧巴馬總統(tǒng)和億萬富翁、電視界大亨奧普拉?溫弗瑞。但是，在非裔美國人社區(qū)里，奧利奧卻要為心懷白人價值觀而感到羞恥。
