最近這些年,市面上好像有很多書都講關(guān)于一生要做的多少件事,一生要去的多少個地方等等。好像忽然之間,你的一生要做什么、去哪里都有人替你規(guī)劃了,你只要攢好錢,然后出發(fā)就行了。那么,你已經(jīng)列好自己的bucket list了嗎?
Bucket list refers to a list of activities and achievements that a person hopes to accomplish in his or her lifetime. This phrase comes from the idiom to kick the bucket, meaning "to die," which has been in the language since at least 1785.
Bucket list(暫譯為“人生目標清單”)指一個人在有生之年想要做的事情和想要取得的成就的清單。這個短語源自于英文俗語“to kick the bucket”,意即“去世(翹辮子)”,這個表達早在1785年就已經(jīng)在使用了。
For example:
I need to remember to add skydiving to my bucket list.
我要記得把跳傘列入我的人生目標清單。
