經(jīng)常在網(wǎng)上聊天的人肯定知道不少網(wǎng)絡(luò)縮略語(yǔ)和表情符號(hào)，比如：LOL（laugh out loud）、ASAP（as soon as possible）等。這些縮略語(yǔ)有時(shí)也會(huì)出現(xiàn)在手機(jī)短信中，接收的人如果對(duì)這些不了解的話，那就有可能會(huì)出笑話的。比如，近兩年在國(guó)外男性發(fā)短信時(shí)常常會(huì)用到的這個(gè)代號(hào)x，你知道是什么意思嗎？
Metrotextual is a description of men who use “kisses” when texting.
Metrotextual用來(lái)描述發(fā)短信時(shí)給對(duì)方“留吻”的男性。
Men have become so openly affectionate with each other using mobile technology they’ve taken to signing off text messages to male friends with a kiss (x), giving rise to a new generation dubbed ‘Metrotextuals’.
如今的男性表達(dá)情感的方式越來(lái)越大膽，竟有這樣一群人在互發(fā)手機(jī)短信時(shí)，在結(jié)尾處互留熱“吻”符號(hào)(x）。這就是最新興起的“都市美信男”一族。
There’s a certain etiquette within metrotextuality. A lower case 'x' is the preferred sign-off for most (52 percent) compared to 17 percent for a bolder upper case 'X', with one in three sharing the love in a big way with multiple lower case kisses (xxx).
“都市美信男”們還有自己的一套規(guī)矩。多數(shù)（52%）人在留吻時(shí)用小寫(xiě)的x，17%的人會(huì)更大膽地使用大寫(xiě)X，而用小寫(xiě)x“留吻”的人當(dāng)中有三分之一的人還會(huì)連發(fā)幾個(gè)小寫(xiě)的“吻”(xxx)大表“愛(ài)意”。
