十一屆全國人大四次會議3月7日舉行記者會，外交部長楊潔篪在回答記者提問時說，去年，中國周邊形勢總體上保持了和平、合作、發(fā)展的局面，我們同有關(guān)國家的關(guān)系又得到了新的發(fā)展。
China will stick to the policy of "building friendship and partnership with neighboring countries" and work with neighbors to ensure regional peace and stability so as to create a favorable condition for regional development.
中國將繼續(xù)執(zhí)行“與鄰為善、以鄰為伴”的基本方針，努力同周邊國家共同營造一個和平穩(wěn)定、開放包容、合作共贏的地區(qū)環(huán)境。
2010年，中國與周邊國家的關(guān)系有以下三個特點：
-- Deeper mutual trust. Chinese leaders conducted in-depth exchanges with their counterparts in the region and reached many important consensus.
加深了相互信任。中國領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人遍訪許多亞洲國家，就如何進一步加強相互信任和合作進行了廣泛深入的討論，達成了許多重要共識。
-- Vibrant economy. The economic growth of Asia as a whole was 8.2 percent last year, rendering the region as the engine of the world economy.
經(jīng)濟活力發(fā)展。亞洲去年經(jīng)濟增長率達到8.2%，從而成為推動世界經(jīng)濟復(fù)蘇的重要引擎。
-- Mutually-beneficial cooperation. China and neighboring countries promoted the integration process and worked together to solve many thorny issues.
促進了互利合作，推進了地區(qū)一體化建設(shè)，共同努力妥善處理和解決地區(qū)的熱點問題。
