暑假到了,早高峰的公交地鐵上,人們經(jīng)??吹礁改笌е⒆颖持髸兄鴿h堡去趕補(bǔ)習(xí)班的身影。假期的孩子過得好像比學(xué)期還要忙碌。
Hurried child syndrome refers to a condition in which parents overschedule their children's lives, push them hard for academic success, and expect them to behave and react as miniature adults.
“忙碌兒童綜合征”指的是家長(zhǎng)將孩子的生活安排得過滿、極力要求孩子在學(xué)業(yè)上取得佳績(jī),并且希望孩子表現(xiàn)得像小大人一樣的現(xiàn)象。
The concept of the hurried child was first proposed by child psychologist David Elkind in his now-classic 1981 book The Hurried Child: Growing Up Too Fast.
“忙碌兒童”這個(gè)概念是由心理學(xué)家大衛(wèi)?艾爾金德在其1981年出版的經(jīng)典著作《忙碌兒童:成長(zhǎng)得太快》首次提出的。
One symptom of the hurried child syndrome is forcing pre-school children to constantly take classes and perform other "enrichment" exercises to help them prepare for school. This is also called hothousing and the superbaby syndrome.
“忙碌兒童綜合征”的癥狀之一就是強(qiáng)迫學(xué)齡前兒童不斷參加各種輔導(dǎo)班和特長(zhǎng)培訓(xùn),以幫助他們?yōu)槿雽W(xué)做好準(zhǔn)備。這種現(xiàn)象也被稱為“溫室培育”和“超級(jí)寶貝綜合征”。
