White House chefs have created "original dishes that highlight American cuisine with nuances of Chinese flavors" for the state dinner honoring visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping, the White House said Thursday.
白宮方面24日表示，白宮廚師做了幾道融入中國特色、具有美國本土風(fēng)味的國宴菜肴，款待到訪的中國國家主席習(xí)近平。

據(jù)美國國家安全委員會(huì)亞洲事務(wù)高級(jí)主管丹尼爾·克里滕布林克介紹，國宴是習(xí)近平主席對(duì)美國事訪問(state visit)的重要環(huán)節(jié)(key part)。奧巴馬去年訪華時(shí)受到習(xí)近平主席的熱情接待(tremendous hospitality)，他希望借此次國宴表達(dá)回饋之情，并期待在白天會(huì)晤后與習(xí)主席進(jìn)行更深入的交流(continue the important discussions that take place earlier in the day)。

【吃什么？】

根據(jù)白宮公布的菜單，為習(xí)主席舉行的國宴菜單上有一道湯(a soup)、兩道主菜(two main courses)和一道甜點(diǎn)(a dessert)，各配一種酒(wine)。

At Friday's state dinner, guests will have a taste of, among other dishes, butter poached Maine lobster and grilled Colorado lamb, as well as a dessert display that features a Chinese-style chocolate pavilion and bridge.

Traditional Chinese Shaoxing yellow rice wine will also be served as guests enjoy their starter - wild mushroom soup with black truffle, according to the official menu provided by the White House.
