身體不適去醫(yī)院看病，本來血壓不算太高，可到了醫(yī)生那里一量卻高了好多，這種情況在英文里叫做white coat effect（白大褂效應(yīng)）。估計(jì)很多怕醫(yī)生的患者都有過類似的經(jīng)歷吧。
White coat effect refers to the elevation of a patient's blood pressure readings caused by being in a doctor's office or clinic, or by being in the presence of a physician.
“白大褂效應(yīng)”指病人在醫(yī)生辦公室、診室或者有醫(yī)務(wù)人員在場時量血壓，血壓都會升高的現(xiàn)象。

在醫(yī)生辦公室時脈搏就會加速是很常見的現(xiàn)象，這種現(xiàn)象被稱為“白大褂高血壓”。由此帶來的不利影響是，這種血壓突然上升的狀況讓醫(yī)生很難判斷病人的真實(shí)病情。
