全國人大常委會27日開始審議刑法修正案(九)草案。此次刑法修改的重點之一是逐步減少適用死刑罪名，草案擬對集資詐騙罪等9個罪的刑罰規(guī)定作出調(diào)整，取消死刑。

Crimes subject to the death penalty就是“適用死刑的罪名”，報道中簡稱“死刑罪名”。此次刑法修改擬取消的9個死刑罪名分別是：走私武器、彈藥罪（smuggling weapons and ammunition）、走私核材料罪（smuggling nuclear materials）、走私假幣罪（smuggling fake banknotes）、偽造貨幣罪（counterfeiting banknotes）、集資詐騙罪（collecting funds through fraud）、組織賣淫罪（organizing prostitutes）、強(qiáng)迫賣淫罪（forcing prostitution）、阻礙執(zhí)行軍事職務(wù)罪（hindering the enforcement of military duties）、戰(zhàn)時造謠惑眾罪（spreading rumors during wartime）。
