Bo Xilai, former Communist Party of China chief of Chongqing Municipality, stood trial in open court Thursday on charges of taking bribes, embezzlement and abuse of power at the Jinan Intermediate People's Court in East China's Shandong province.
原重慶市委書(shū)記薄熙來(lái)受賄、貪污、濫用職權(quán)一案于本周四在山東省濟(jì)南市中級(jí)人民法院公開(kāi)審理。
微博直播“公開(kāi)受審”（to stand trial in open court）是公開(kāi)審判制度（open trial system）的新形式，是近年庭審使用新媒體的標(biāo)志性事件。公開(kāi)審理還可以用to be heard in public/open court來(lái)表達(dá)，如：China allows death penalty cases to be heard in open court beginning 2006（自2006年起，中國(guó)允許死刑案件公開(kāi)審理）。
7月25日，薄熙來(lái)案由山東省濟(jì)南市人民檢察院（Jinan People's Procuratorate）向濟(jì)南市中級(jí)人民法院提起公訴（public prosecution）。起訴書(shū)（indictment）指控，被告人薄熙來(lái)依法應(yīng)當(dāng)以受賄罪（taking bribes）、貪污罪（embezzlement）、濫用職權(quán)罪（abuse of power）追究刑事責(zé)任（criminal responsibility），并予以數(shù)罪并罰（joinder of punishment for plural crimes）。
