在公安機(jī)關(guān)的長期努力下，潛逃加拿大近八年的重大經(jīng)濟(jì)犯罪嫌疑人高山已于近期從加拿大回國投案自首。

A fugitive suspect who had been at large for more than seven years has turned himself in amid Chinese authorities' intensifying efforts to track down suspected criminals who have avoided justice.
隨著中國官方不斷加大力度追蹤潛逃犯罪嫌疑人，一名潛逃在外七年有余的嫌犯于近日向警方自首。
Fugitive suspect就是指“潛逃疑犯”，a fugitive is someone who is running away or hiding, usually in order to avoid being caught by the police（fugitive就是躲避警方抓捕的“逃犯”），而suspect則指涉嫌犯下某個(gè)罪行的“嫌疑人”。如果說某個(gè)犯罪嫌疑人“在逃”就可以用at large來表示，比如：the suspect is still at large（那個(gè)嫌犯仍然在逃）。
Turn oneself in就是“自首”，如果是被抓的嫌疑人將別人“供出來”則可以用give away來表示，如：He gave away the name of the chief culprit. （他供出了主犯的名字。）
