China markets its FC-31 fighter jet at Paris air show

6月19日至6月25日,第52屆巴黎國(guó)際航空航天展覽會(huì)在法國(guó)巴黎北部的布爾歇機(jī)場(chǎng)舉行。作為全世界航空航天產(chǎn)業(yè)的盛會(huì),巴黎航展可視作未來(lái)國(guó)際航空航天產(chǎn)業(yè)發(fā)展的風(fēng)向標(biāo)。據(jù)主辦方介紹,今年有來(lái)自91個(gè)國(guó)家的約2380名參展商,預(yù)計(jì)展出約130架新型民用和軍用飛機(jī)。中國(guó)航空工業(yè)集團(tuán)公司(AVIC)攜帶國(guó)產(chǎn)隱身戰(zhàn)斗機(jī)FC-31的模型參展。FC-31首席設(shè)計(jì)師林鵬對(duì)《中國(guó)日?qǐng)?bào)》表示,中國(guó)決心憑借FC-31戰(zhàn)斗機(jī)開拓發(fā)達(dá)國(guó)家的軍用飛機(jī)市場(chǎng),目前該型號(hào)戰(zhàn)斗機(jī)已經(jīng)獲得許多潛在國(guó)外買家的關(guān)注。

6月19日上午,法國(guó)總統(tǒng)馬克龍搭乘A400M軍用運(yùn)輸機(jī)飛抵巴黎北部布爾歇機(jī)場(chǎng),為第52屆巴黎國(guó)際航展揭幕。

Divided into two parts, the air show trade days from June 19 to 22 are reserved to trade visitors only. And from June 23 to 25 will be public days for general visitors.
本次航展分為兩部分,航展交易日為6月19日至22日,僅對(duì)交易商開放。6月23日至25日將作為開放日對(duì)公眾開放。
According to the organizers, about 2,380 exhibitors from 91 countries will bring some 130 new civil and military aircraft expected to perform flying displays and to be exhibited.
據(jù)主辦方介紹,來(lái)自91個(gè)國(guó)家的約2380名參展商預(yù)計(jì)展出約130架新型民用和軍用飛機(jī),并帶來(lái)飛行表演。
開幕當(dāng)天,20多架當(dāng)前最新型的民用和軍用飛機(jī)陸續(xù)在布爾歇機(jī)場(chǎng)騰空而起,波音737MAX9、空客A380、法國(guó)“陣風(fēng)”戰(zhàn)機(jī)、美國(guó)F-35隱形戰(zhàn)機(jī)等都悉數(shù)亮相。

科普:巴黎航展(Paris Air Show)
The Paris Air Show (Salon international de l'aéronautique et de l'espace de Paris-Le Bourget, Salon du Bourget) claims to be the world's calendar-oldest air show. Established in 1909, since 1949 it has been held every odd year at Paris–Le Bourget Airport in north Paris, France.

AVIC has a model of the FC-31 on display at the 52nd International Paris Air Show. This has been the first time the State-owned aircraft giant brought its latest stealth fighter jet to a Western air show and the second time for the FC-31 to be shown at a foreign exhibition.
中航工業(yè)在第52屆巴黎國(guó)際航展上展出了FC-31戰(zhàn)斗機(jī)的模型,這是中國(guó)國(guó)有航空巨頭首次攜帶最新國(guó)產(chǎn)型隱形戰(zhàn)斗機(jī)亮相西方航展,也是FC-31第二次在國(guó)外展出。

China is determined to tap the military aircraft market of developed nations with the domestically developed FC-31 stealth fighter jet, the plane's chief designer said on Monday.
FC-31隱形戰(zhàn)斗機(jī)首席設(shè)計(jì)師林鵬19日表示,中國(guó)決心憑借FC-31開拓發(fā)達(dá)國(guó)家的軍用飛機(jī)市場(chǎng)。
Lin Peng of the Shenyang Aircraft Design and Research Institute under Aviation Industry Corp of China told China Daily in an exclusive interview the FC-31 has received a lot of attention from potential foreign buyers.
中國(guó)航空工業(yè)集團(tuán)沈陽(yáng)飛機(jī)設(shè)計(jì)研究所的林鵬在接受《中國(guó)日?qǐng)?bào)》獨(dú)家專訪時(shí)稱,F(xiàn)C-31戰(zhàn)斗機(jī)已經(jīng)獲得許多潛在國(guó)外買家的關(guān)注。
"We will strive to use the fifth-generation combat plane to seize some share in the military aircraft market of developed nations," he said.
林鵬稱:“我們將努力憑借FC-31第五代戰(zhàn)斗機(jī)在發(fā)達(dá)國(guó)家軍用飛機(jī)市場(chǎng)中占據(jù)一席之地?!?/p>
Lin said FC-31's appearance in Paris is intended to showoff China's capabilities in the research and development of advanced military aircraft and to enable potential buyers to know more about the plane so they can communicate "in-depth" with AVIC about the fighter jet.
林鵬表示,F(xiàn)C-31亮相巴黎是為了展示中國(guó)在先進(jìn)軍用飛機(jī)領(lǐng)域的研發(fā)能力,讓潛在客戶更加了解FC-31,以便于向中航工業(yè)進(jìn)一步了解相關(guān)信息。
The FC-31 is not yet in production, but these appearances are intended to generate interest that could lead to sales.

The air show is also a good occasion for the Chinese stealth fighter jet to compete with its counterparts, the designer added.

The FC-31 was unveiled in October 2012 as a twin-engine, radar-evading fighter jet. At that time, the first prototype had made its maiden flight, becoming the country's second fifth-generation fighter jet following the J-20, which made its first flight in January 2011. The People's Liberation Army Air Force has begun to receive deliveries of the J-20.
雙引擎雷達(dá)隱身戰(zhàn)斗機(jī)FC-31于2012年10月首次亮相。當(dāng)時(shí),其第一架樣機(jī)已經(jīng)完成首飛,成為繼殲-20后,國(guó)內(nèi)第二款第五代戰(zhàn)斗機(jī)。殲-20于2011年1月完成首飛。中國(guó)人民解放軍空軍已經(jīng)開始接收交付的殲-20戰(zhàn)斗機(jī)。
Lin said the FC-31 features high survivability, a low radar signature, supreme electronic countermeasures, strong information capacity, outstanding situation awareness and beyond-visual-range combat capability.
林鵬稱,F(xiàn)C-31戰(zhàn)斗機(jī)具有高生存力、低雷達(dá)信號(hào)、優(yōu)異的電子對(duì)抗性能、強(qiáng)大的信息功能、杰出的環(huán)境感知能力以及超視距作戰(zhàn)能力。

The aircraft has a large weapon bay and several external hard points that are capable of carrying Chinese-or foreign-made air-to-air missiles and air-to-surface weapons, he said.
FC-31擁有巨大的彈艙以及多個(gè)外部硬點(diǎn),可以搭載國(guó)產(chǎn)或外國(guó)制造的空對(duì)空導(dǎo)彈以及空對(duì)地武器。
Specifications from AVIC show the FC-31 has a maximum takeoff weight of 25 metric tons, a combat range of 1,200 km and a top speed of Mach 1.8, or 2,205 kilometers per hour. It can carry 8 metric tons of weapons and has a designed service life of up to 30 years.

Fu Qianshao, an aircraft expert with the PLA Air Force, expected that the plane's price will be around $70 million, about half that of the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II from the United States, which is the only fifth-generation fighter jet available on the market from the US. The US only sells it to allies.

Li Yuhai, deputy general manager of AVIC, previously told reporters that AVIC plans to use the FC-31 to "put an end to some nations' monopolies on the fifth-generation fighter jet" and this plane "is able to compete with any other aircraft of its kind".
