針對(duì)當(dāng)前醫(yī)療糾紛和醫(yī)患矛盾仍較突出的情況，公安部建議各級(jí)各類醫(yī)院進(jìn)一步加強(qiáng)自身建設(shè)，從源頭上預(yù)防和減少各類矛盾糾紛，增進(jìn)醫(yī)患溝通，暢通投訴渠道，妥善解決患者有關(guān)訴求。同時(shí)，進(jìn)一步健全醫(yī)患糾紛調(diào)處機(jī)制，公開、公平妥善化解矛盾。

Seven people were killed and 28 injured in the 11 violent patient-doctor disputes in 2012. These disputes occurred in eight provinces or regions, including Beijing and Heilongjiang, the National Health and Family Planning Commission said.
國家衛(wèi)生與計(jì)劃生育委員會(huì)表示，2012年發(fā)生的11起暴力醫(yī)患糾紛中有7人死亡，28人受傷。這些糾紛的發(fā)生地包括北京、黑龍江等八個(gè)省市區(qū)。
Patient-doctor relationships是“醫(yī)患關(guān)系”，patient-doctor disputes就是“醫(yī)患糾紛”，也叫medical disputes。緊張的醫(yī)患關(guān)系可用tense/strained patient-doctor relationships表示。
近期頻發(fā)的襲醫(yī)事件（attacks on medical workers）引發(fā)公眾和有關(guān)部門對(duì)于醫(yī)務(wù)人員及醫(yī)院安全問題的討論。有人認(rèn)為，要徹底改善醫(yī)患關(guān)系，需要進(jìn)一步加快醫(yī)療體制改革（patient-doctor relationships），改進(jìn)醫(yī)保體制（improving medical insurance system）等。
