近日，有關(guān)“大連退休警察申請(qǐng)公開(kāi)女騎警養(yǎng)馬成本”的討論在網(wǎng)上進(jìn)行得很熱烈。對(duì)此，遼寧省大連市公安局作出回應(yīng)，稱女子騎警隊(duì)每匹馬的養(yǎng)護(hù)成本約為每月2500元。

Policewomen on horseback, once regarded as a signature image of Dalian, Liaoning province, recently triggered debate on whether it is worthwhile to spend a lot of money on them.
A retired policeman in Dalian has asked the government of the northeastern city to make public the cost of maintaining its mounted policewomen unit, suggesting that authorities disband the division.
大連一位退休警察要求政府公開(kāi)女子騎警隊(duì)的維護(hù)成本，并建議解散騎警隊(duì)。
Mounted police就是“騎警”，大連的“女子騎警隊(duì)”就是mounted policewomen unit。這位退休警察指出，女騎警雖然在提升城市形象（upgrading the city's image）方面發(fā)揮了作用，但作為警察隊(duì)伍（police force）的一部分，其在維護(hù)社會(huì)治安（maintaining public order）方面貢獻(xiàn)不大，而且耗費(fèi)人力、物力和財(cái)力。大連市公安局回應(yīng)稱，這些女騎警都受過(guò)專(zhuān)業(yè)訓(xùn)練（professionally trained），除了騎馬巡邏，她們也時(shí)常騎摩托車(chē)巡邏（patrol on motorcycle），自成立以來(lái)，開(kāi)展巡邏執(zhí)勤7000余次，完成禮儀執(zhí)勤任務(wù)（ceremonial engagements）1000余次。
我國(guó)公安機(jī)關(guān)的警察按照職責(zé)不同分為，治安警察（public security officer）、戶籍警察（household registration officer）、交通警察（traffic police）、刑事犯罪偵查警察（criminal police）、網(wǎng)絡(luò)警察（cyber police）、巡邏警察（patrol police）等。
