Pep talk

He was asked to give a pep talk to England's soccer team for its World Cup qualifying match (he politely declined) and to offer campaign tips to embattled British Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
The university president gives the graduates a pep talk.(校長給畢業(yè)生們做了一個(gè)動(dòng)員講話。)又如:The coach gave his team a pep talk at half time.(教練在半場的時(shí)候給球員們打氣。)
She's always full of pep in the morning.(早晨她總是精力充沛。) The good news pepped him up.(這個(gè)好消息使他精神振奮。)又如:pep up the economy(振興經(jīng)濟(jì))。
