成功“換臉術(shù)”

這是世界首例面部移植手術(shù)，國內(nèi)媒體更樂于稱之為“換臉”術(shù)。2005年，一名法國女子面部被狗嚴重咬傷，后被醫(yī)生“嫁接”了另一名腦死亡者的鼻子、嘴唇和下巴。時隔一年，臨床結(jié)果顯示，“換臉”手術(shù)效果極佳，患者的面部知覺日趨敏感，面部靈活性也日益增強。

The medical team at the hospital in Amiens in northern France issued a new photo and a statement Monday, exactly a year after they transplanted the lips, nose and chin of a brain-dead woman onto Isabelle Dinoire.
報道中的“face transplant”就是我們所說的“換臉術(shù)”，醫(yī)學上常稱之為“面部移植術(shù)”。這位法國患者因僅被移植了“鼻子、嘴唇和下巴”，所以，更確切一點，這種手術(shù)應被叫做“partial facial transplant”（局部面部移植），與其相對應的為“full facial transplant”（完整面部移植）。
醫(yī)學上，transplant（移植）常指“將組織或器官從一身體或身體部位移到另一個身體或身體部位”，如heart transplant（心臟移植手術(shù)）、 surgical transplant of a cornea（眼角膜外科移植術(shù)）。
此外，“移植”還可用“graft”來表示，如：The 38-year-old woman had a nose, lips and chin grafted onto her face from a brain-dead donor.（這為38歲婦女接受了換臉手術(shù)，醫(yī)生把一名腦死亡捐贈者的鼻子、嘴唇和下巴移植給了她。）
