 拯救“少年犯”

日前，全國人大常委會審議《未成年人保護(hù)法》修訂草案，應(yīng)試教育成為委員們關(guān)注的焦點(diǎn)——應(yīng)試教育若不從根本上扭轉(zhuǎn)，會導(dǎo)致未成年人犯罪嚴(yán)重。

報道中的“juvenile delinquency”是法律術(shù)語“未成年人犯罪”，相應(yīng)的，“juvenile delinquent”就是“少年罪犯”，即我們?nèi)粘Ｉ钪兴f的“少年犯”。
短語中的“juvenile”指“青少年”或“與青少年相關(guān)的”，如juvenile psychology（青少年心理學(xué)）；juvenile behavior（幼稚的行為）；juvenile mentality（少年心理）。
“Delinquency”在法律上專指“青少年犯罪”，日常生活中可用來形容“失職、疏忽、小過錯”，如：The captain's delinquency led to the loss of the ship. （船長因失職而導(dǎo)致輪船沉沒。）
