Sixth grader Renko is unperturbed by her parents' decision to separate. With the companionship of her boyfriend Minoru, and Sally, a classmate whose parents have also gone different ways, Renko gradually realizes the practical implications of a divorce and tries repeatedly and desperately to get her parents to reconcile. When she continues to fail at her attempt, an old man teaches her about the need to forget the past and look towards the future.
漣子上六年級，父母分手的決定并沒有影響到她。在男朋友實和父母同樣分開的薩麗同學的陪伴下，漣子逐漸意識到了離婚的實際意義是什么，她一次一次不顧一切地試圖讓父母重歸于好。當她的努力又一次失敗后，一位老人告訴她應(yīng)該學會忘記過去、著眼未來。
