步履匆忙好像是每個(gè)生活在大城市的人共同的特點(diǎn)。人們永遠(yuǎn)都在趕時(shí)間，生怕慢下來(lái)就會(huì)被這個(gè)社會(huì)拋棄似的。

The age of fast pace is a period of time when people are experiencing a fast-paced life as well as a tight work schedule. People in this period are under a lot of pressure, always in heated competition, and never have a minute of rest.

急時(shí)代（the age of fast pace）是指生活、工作節(jié)奏過(guò)快的時(shí)代。壓力大、競(jìng)爭(zhēng)激烈、忙碌勞累是生活在這一時(shí)代的人的特點(diǎn)。

People often press the close button when they step into an elevator instead of waiting for it to close automatically, drivers behind you honk their horns repeatedly if you are just a few seconds slow at the turn of a green light.

電梯明明可以自動(dòng)關(guān)閉，總有人急切地伸出手去按關(guān)門鍵；綠燈亮了汽車起步晚半秒鐘，后面的司機(jī)就會(huì)按喇叭催促。

People will never experience the pleasure of being slow because they are always in a hurry. They are overworked mentally and physically, without knowing where they are going.

因?yàn)榧?，人們體會(huì)不到慢的快樂(lè)與愉悅。在急時(shí)代中，所有人的精力和體力都在透支，卻很少有人能說(shuō)清楚自己的目的地在哪里。
