China and the United States agreed to five new initiatives for collaboration on addressing climate change in Washington, DC, on July 10, the first day of the fifth round of the China-US Strategic and Economic Dialogue (S&ED).
7月10日第五輪中美戰(zhàn)略與經(jīng)濟(jì)對話第一天，中美就氣候變化合作方面的五個(gè)新的行動計(jì)劃達(dá)成一致。
China-US Strategic and Economic Dialogue（中美戰(zhàn)略與經(jīng)濟(jì)對話）是中美雙方就事關(guān)兩國關(guān)系發(fā)展的戰(zhàn)略性、長期性、全局性問題而進(jìn)行的戰(zhàn)略對話（to exchange views on issues of strategic, long-term and overall significance in their bilateral relations），首輪對話于2009年7月在美國華盛頓舉行。
此次中美雙發(fā)就氣候變化合作（collaboration on addressing climate change）達(dá)成的五個(gè)行動計(jì)劃包括： reducing emissions from heavy-duty and other vehicles（載重汽車減排）， increasing carbon capture, utilization, and storage（增加碳捕集利用和封存）， increasing energy efficiency in buildings, industry, and transport（提高建筑和工業(yè)能效）， improving greenhouse gas data collection and management（加強(qiáng)溫室氣體數(shù)據(jù)收集和管理），以及promoting smart power grids（推廣智能電網(wǎng)）。
