中華人民共和國(guó)國(guó)務(wù)院新聞辦公室26日發(fā)表《中國(guó)的醫(yī)療衛(wèi)生事業(yè)》白皮書，全面介紹了中國(guó)醫(yī)療衛(wèi)生的基本狀況，回顧了多年來中國(guó)為推動(dòng)醫(yī)療衛(wèi)生事業(yè)發(fā)展所做的努力，展示了醫(yī)藥衛(wèi)生體制改革階段性成效。
So far, a medical and healthcare system including medical infrastructure construction, service supply and health insurance coverage has taken shape, covering more than 1.3 billion people in urban and rural areas, according to the white paper.
白皮書指出，到目前為止，包括醫(yī)療基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施建設(shè)、服務(wù)提供以及醫(yī)保覆蓋等在內(nèi)的醫(yī)療衛(wèi)生服務(wù)體系已經(jīng)成型，覆蓋13億多城鄉(xiāng)居民。
白皮書指出，中國(guó)高度重視保護(hù)和增進(jìn)人民健康。多年來，中國(guó)堅(jiān)持“以農(nóng)村為重點(diǎn)（making rural areas the focus of our work），預(yù)防為主（putting disease prevention first），中西醫(yī)并重（supporting both traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine），依靠科技與教育（relying on science, technology and education），動(dòng)員全社會(huì)參與（mobilizing the whole society to join the efforts），為人民健康服務(wù)（improving people's health），為社會(huì)主義現(xiàn)代化建設(shè)服務(wù)（serving socialist modernization）”的衛(wèi)生工作方針，努力發(fā)展具有中國(guó)特色的醫(yī)療衛(wèi)生事業(yè)。
經(jīng)過不懈努力，覆蓋城鄉(xiāng)的醫(yī)療衛(wèi)生服務(wù)體系（medical and healthcare systems covering both urban and rural residents）基本形成，疾病防治能力（the capabilities of disease prevention and control）不斷增強(qiáng)，醫(yī)療保障覆蓋人口（the coverage of medical insurance）逐步擴(kuò)大，衛(wèi)生科技水平日益提高，居民健康水平明顯改善。
