 斷交

據(jù)俄羅斯媒體報(bào)道，在俄羅斯總統(tǒng)梅德韋杰夫簽署法令承認(rèn)阿布哈茲和南奧塞梯獨(dú)立后，格魯吉亞外交部已經(jīng)于9月2日正式通知俄羅斯駐格使館兩國斷交，但格俄仍將保持領(lǐng)事關(guān)系。
外電中有如下報(bào)道：
Georgia on Tuesday formally severed diplomatic relations with Russia in protest against Moscow's recognition of the independence of two breakaway Georgian regions.
格魯吉亞于9月2日正式宣布與俄羅斯斷交，抗議俄羅斯承認(rèn)阿布哈茲和南奧塞梯獨(dú)立。
“與…斷絕外交關(guān)系”就是 sever diplomatic relations with…，sever，to break up a relationship，即分離，斷絕。
另外一種比較正式的說法，即 terminate diplomatic relations with…（與...終止外交關(guān)系）
“絕交”的常見表達(dá)還有 break ties with，cut ties with…
例如：It was time for them to leave their house, cut ties with the father and move on with their lives.（他們?cè)撾x開家、跟父親斷絕關(guān)系、過自己的生活了。）
有“絕交”就有“建交”?！敖ń弧蓖ǔＳ胑stablish, set up 來表達(dá)。例如，We have established trade ties with these regions. （我們和這些地區(qū)建立了貿(mào)易關(guān)系。）
