“彩信”怎么說

很多人都知道“彩信服務(wù)”的英文縮寫是MMS，不過，知道MMS全稱的人不是太多。日常生活中，如果提到“彩信”，如何用英文來表達(dá)？看下面一段有關(guān)“雅虎中國遭國際唱片公司起訴”的相關(guān)報(bào)道：

報(bào)道說，就網(wǎng)上音樂盜版問題，BDA咨詢公司分析師劉斌認(rèn)為，數(shù)字音樂之所以在中國火熱源于國內(nèi)唱片銷售市場的蕭條，而很大程度上，上述問題是由于盜版光碟的猖獗以及手機(jī)用戶對彩信等服務(wù)的需求。
由報(bào)道可知，“彩信服務(wù)”相應(yīng)的英文表達(dá)是“multimedia messaging service”，而我們常說的“彩信”則可表達(dá)為“multimedia message”?！癕ultimedia”直譯為“多媒體”，我們漢語中的“彩（信）”實(shí)指“短信由圖象、動(dòng)畫、聲音等多媒體形式呈現(xiàn)”，由此，“Multimedia”即體現(xiàn)了“彩”的本質(zhì)意義。
此外，報(bào)道中的“pirated CD”指的是“盜版光碟”，而“ring tone”則為“手機(jī)鈴音”。
再順便提及一個(gè)常用詞匯——“彩鈴”，它相應(yīng)的英文表達(dá)為“polyphonic ringtone”。
