“產(chǎn)假”怎么說

自12月1日起，修訂后的香港《雇傭條例》生效。根據(jù)該條例，雇員憑注冊中醫(yī)開具的醫(yī)生證明書，可享有疾病津貼、生育保障及長期服務(wù)金等法定權(quán)益。生育保障方面，懷孕雇員一旦被證明因懷孕或分娩引致疾病，便可享受額外產(chǎn)假。
請看《中國日報(bào)》相關(guān)報(bào)道：With effect from December 1, an employee who produces a medical certificate issued by a registered Chinese medicine practitioner (CMP) will be entitled to specified statutory benefits under the Employment Ordinance, including sickness allowance, maternity protection and long service payment.
For the purpose of maternity protection, an additional period ofmaternity leaveis required on the grounds of illness or disability due to pregnancy.
報(bào)道中的“maternity leave”就是我們所說的“產(chǎn)假”。Maternity指“孕婦的，初為人母的”，其相關(guān)搭配如下：maternity dress（孕婦裝）；maternity hospital/ward（產(chǎn)科醫(yī)院/病房）；maternity nurse（助產(chǎn)士）。
此外，“產(chǎn)科醫(yī)院/病房”也可單獨(dú)用maternity來表示，如：Trainee nurses have to work for some weeks in maternity.（受訓(xùn)的護(hù)士必須在產(chǎn)科工作幾個(gè)星期。）
值得一提的是，maternity另一形容詞形式“maternal”常用來形容“母親的，母親似的，母系的”，如maternal love（母愛）；maternal uncle（舅舅）。
