中國駐泰國大使館確認(rèn)，截至8日上午9時(shí)，中國公民有41人在泰國普吉島翻船事故中遇難。截至目前，事故共造成42人死亡，仍有14人失蹤。

Forty-one of the victims have been confirmed as Chinese nationals, including 13 children, 10 men and 18 women, Xinhua reported.

中國交通運(yùn)輸部廣州打撈局的工作人員（one team dispatched by the Ministry of Transport）和來自中國浙江省的民間救援隊(duì)（a civilian team from Zhejiang province）公羊隊(duì)（the Ram Union team）已抵達(dá)普吉島，加入泰方組織的救援打撈工作。

當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間5日17時(shí)45分左右，“鳳凰”號和“艾莎公主”號在普吉島附近海域突遇特大暴風(fēng)雨，船只發(fā)生傾覆并沉沒。“鳳凰”號上載有105人，“艾莎公主”號載有42人，兩船上共有127名中國游客。
