英國人氣天王Sam Smith擔綱制作并獻唱的第24部007電影主題曲“Writing's on the Wall”發(fā)布以后便受到各界熱議，并成為首個登上英國榜單曲冠軍的007電影主題曲。上一部由Adele演唱的Skyfall雖然人氣很高，但在英國榜也只是得到了亞軍。Sam Smith接受BBC電臺早餐節(jié)目訪問時表示，“這大概是我們寫得最快的一首歌了，大概只用了20分鐘”。

薩姆·史密斯（Sam Smith），1992年5月19日出生于英國倫敦，英國創(chuàng)作型男歌手。2012年10月與解密兄弟合作單曲《Latch》而開始活躍于樂壇。2014年1月參加英國廣播公司“年度之聲”獲得冠軍；同年2月獲得“第37屆全英音樂獎”評論選擇獎；5月推出首張錄音室專輯《In The Lonely Hour》，專輯歌曲《Stay With Me》入圍“MTV音樂錄影帶大獎”最佳男歌手錄影帶與最佳新人獎兩項提名；10月22日獲得“2014黑人音樂獎”最佳R&B及靈樂歌手、最佳歌曲、最佳專輯和最佳男歌手四個獎項。2015年2月在第57屆格萊美獎中獲得年度新人、年度歌曲、年度制作與最佳流行專輯共四個獎項；同月在第35屆全英音樂獎中獲得全球成就獎和最佳突破藝人兩項大獎。
