課堂討論時(shí),公司開會(huì)brainstorming時(shí),同學(xué)聚會(huì)爭(zhēng)論某個(gè)問(wèn)題時(shí),都需要我們適時(shí)表達(dá)自己的意見。怎么樣表達(dá)才能讓別人聽到并注意到呢?昨天,我們說(shuō)了表達(dá)自己意見的不同方式。今天,我們來(lái)說(shuō)說(shuō)討論時(shí)如何提出疑問(wèn)。
4. 疑惑追問(wèn)
Just to clarify,... 我想確認(rèn)一下...
May I ask a follow-up question? 我能就你說(shuō)的問(wèn)個(gè)問(wèn)題嗎?
Could you say more (about it)? 你能多解釋一下嗎?
Could you elaborate on this? 你能詳細(xì)解釋一下嗎?
上述的句子都是在聽了別人的看法之后,不確定自己是否理解正確,所以追問(wèn),讓別人詳細(xì)解釋一下。
5. 會(huì)議報(bào)告、演講之后提問(wèn)
That's an amazing model/useful concept, but it occurred to me that [this/something] might also play a role....Have you considered ...?
Thanks for your talk. I completely agree with your conclusion, but as I'm sure you're aware, Dr. XX explains this in a different way, and I was wondering if you could address her theory.
這種提問(wèn)的開場(chǎng)白多是肯定之前報(bào)告和演講的意義,然后再提出自己的問(wèn)題。
?"but as I'm sure you're aware"完全是給對(duì)方一個(gè)臺(tái)階下,可能那個(gè)理論他根本沒(méi)有考慮過(guò)。但是如果對(duì)方是比較資深的,我們也需要客套一下。
6. 尋求幫助
I was wondering if I could talk to you about...
I was hoping that if I could talk to you about...
I was wondering if it'd be possible that you...
上述句子均表示:不知我是否可用跟您請(qǐng)教.../您可否...
這種句式一般都是用過(guò)去時(shí),在email里面也是如此。而且,雖然was wondering/hoping這種進(jìn)行時(shí)看起來(lái)很怪,但是用法就是這樣子的
Sorry to bother you, Professor X.... XX教授,抱歉打擾您。
I realize this is an unusual request... 我知道這樣的要求有些不合常理。
I realize that you are very busy... 我知道您很忙。
Thanks for your time.謝謝您抽出寶貴時(shí)間。
Thanks in advance for your help.先謝謝您的幫助
It would be great if you could... 如果您能夠...那就太好了。(這個(gè)是最常用的,尤其是email里面)
