圣誕和新年是大家盡情放松、大吃大喝的時(shí)節(jié)，結(jié)果過完節(jié)不少人發(fā)現(xiàn)，自己的腰圍長(zhǎng)了不少，節(jié)前穿著很合身的衣服，現(xiàn)在穿著竟有些緊了，這就是Christmas tight——圣誕縮水。

The period of time after Christmas and New Years where the clothes you wore prior to the holidays that fit well, all of a sudden are a little tighter than they should be, which is called “Christmas tight”.

在圣誕節(jié)和新年之前穿著很合身的衣服，在過完節(jié)后再穿忽然變緊了，這就叫“圣誕縮水”。

“Christmas tight” happens because there is so much delicious food during the big holidays, and you just cannot help yourselves. Therefore you put on weight in a few days.

發(fā)生“圣誕縮水”是因?yàn)樵谶@種盛大的節(jié)日里美味的食物太多了，你忍不住狂吃。結(jié)果幾天內(nèi)體重就增長(zhǎng)了不少。

"I got this new dress shirt for Christmas. I went to wear it with my favorite work pants, but they are a little Christmas tight now."
