在剛剛過去的一年里，“被ＸＸ”成為網(wǎng)絡(luò)熱詞。被就業(yè)、被代表……然而，爭議最大的還是收入“被增長”。一些政協(xié)委員表示，“被增長”雖然是對統(tǒng)計數(shù)據(jù)真實性的質(zhì)疑，但其背后，卻是公眾對工資收入增長緩慢、國民收入分配失衡的不滿。
When an ordinarily active verb is deliberately twisted into passive form, it often implies the helplessness of the person in controlling his own fate. College graduates can "be" job hunted, ordinary people's opinions can also "be" represented.
如果一個主動動詞被故意用在了被動形式的句子里，那么通常就是在暗示當(dāng)事人無法掌控自己命運的無助感。大學(xué)畢業(yè)生可以“被就業(yè)”，普通民眾的意見也可以“被代表”。
來看一個“被增長”的例句：
According to official statistics, our average income increased 5% in 2009. Many people think that is not true and that their income actually “was” increased.
據(jù)官方數(shù)據(jù)顯示，我們?nèi)ツ甑钠骄杖朐鲩L了5％。很多人認為這個數(shù)據(jù)不屬實，認為他們的收入其實是“被”增長了。
