The death toll from a factory blast in east China's Jiangsu Province rose to 75 on Monday as a senior official in charge of the country's work safety said "very serious dereliction of duty" was behind the accident.
本周一,江蘇(昆山)工廠爆炸導(dǎo)致的死亡人數(shù)已上升至75人,安監(jiān)總局局長(zhǎng)表示該事故屬于“重大責(zé)任事故”。
江蘇昆山工廠的粉塵爆炸(dust explosion)被認(rèn)定為“重大責(zé)任事故”(very serious dereliction of duty),原因?yàn)榉蹓m濃度超標(biāo)(excessive concentration of dust),遇到火源發(fā)生爆炸。
該事故同時(shí)也暴露了工廠在工人權(quán)益保護(hù)(protection of workers' rights)和安全生產(chǎn)(work safety)方面執(zhí)行不力。工廠沒(méi)有對(duì)工人進(jìn)行安全培訓(xùn),沒(méi)有按規(guī)定配備阻燃、防靜電勞保用品;違反勞動(dòng)法規(guī),超時(shí)組織作業(yè)。
