Costa Rica beat Greece on penalties later Sunday to reach the World Cup quarterfinals for the first time. That was the second penalty shootout of the weekend, following Brazil's narrow win over Chile on Saturday.
哥斯達(dá)黎加在當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間周日的點(diǎn)球大戰(zhàn)中戰(zhàn)勝希臘，首次進(jìn)入世界杯四分之一決賽。這也是這個(gè)周末上演的第二場(chǎng)點(diǎn)球大戰(zhàn)，當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間周六，巴西在點(diǎn)球大戰(zhàn)中以微弱優(yōu)勢(shì)戰(zhàn)勝智利。
世界杯比賽進(jìn)入淘汰賽階段（knockout stage）就不允許有平局出現(xiàn)了，因?yàn)橐獩Q出勝負(fù)來(lái)決定哪個(gè)球隊(duì)進(jìn)入四分之一決賽（quarterfinals）。雙方若在比賽規(guī)定時(shí)間內(nèi)打成平局，就會(huì)進(jìn)行半個(gè)小時(shí)的加時(shí)賽（extra time），如果加時(shí)賽結(jié)束還沒(méi)有決出勝負(fù)，就要進(jìn)行點(diǎn)球大戰(zhàn)（penalty shootout），雙方各發(fā)5個(gè)點(diǎn)球（penalty kick），進(jìn)球多者獲勝，5個(gè)點(diǎn)球后仍為平局的，就繼續(xù)進(jìn)行，直到?jīng)Q出勝負(fù)為止。
