現(xiàn)年37歲的好萊塢影星安吉麗娜?朱莉在《紐約時(shí)報(bào)》發(fā)表文章“我的醫(yī)療選擇”，文章透露她因基因缺陷而選擇切除乳腺手術(shù)。此舉引發(fā)大家對(duì)乳腺癌的強(qiáng)烈關(guān)注。

安吉麗娜?朱莉本周二自曝已接受預(yù)防性雙側(cè)乳腺切除術(shù)，因?yàn)樗救祟净既橄侔┑娘L(fēng)險(xiǎn)極高。
Double mastectomy就是“雙側(cè)乳腺/乳房切除術(shù)”，mastectomy來(lái)自希臘語(yǔ)，讀作[m?-st?kt?mi]，是breast（乳房）和removal（摘除、切除）二詞的合成形式，指部分或全部摘除單側(cè)或雙側(cè)乳房的外科手術(shù)（surgical removal of one or both breasts, partially or completely）。該手術(shù)多用來(lái)治療乳腺癌（breast cancer），不過(guò)像朱莉這樣患乳腺癌風(fēng)險(xiǎn)較高的人群（people believed to be at high risk of breast cancer）也可進(jìn)行預(yù)防性手術(shù)（preventive operation）。
朱莉表示，自己有基因缺陷（she carries a faulty gene），患乳腺癌（breast cancer）和卵巢癌（ovarian cancer）的風(fēng)險(xiǎn)都較高，因此決定采取預(yù)防性措施，盡可能將風(fēng)險(xiǎn)最小化（minimize the risk）。此次手術(shù)，她雙側(cè)乳房的乳腺管（breast ducts）以及乳腺組織（breast tissue）均被清除，然后用乳房植入物（breast implant）填充，最后進(jìn)行乳房重塑手術(shù)（reconstructive surgery）。
