十一黃金周，許多人選擇出游，也有許多人恐懼外面的擁擠而選擇在家消遣這難得的假期。上網(wǎng)是他們必做的事情之一。隨著Facebook等各種社交網(wǎng)站的崛起，網(wǎng)上社交已經(jīng)成為年輕人的一種消遣方式，請(qǐng)看報(bào)道：
The growth of social networking sites (SNS), such as Facebook, has seen the line between real and virtual friendship become increasingly blurred. These sites enable users to create a profile of their personal information, keep in touch with their friends and even meet new people with similar interests. For some people, having more than 500 "friends" on a social networking site seems very natural.
報(bào)道中的social networking site就是“社交網(wǎng)站”，簡(jiǎn)寫為SNS。你在網(wǎng)上認(rèn)識(shí)的人可能和現(xiàn)實(shí)中的完全不同，或是在現(xiàn)實(shí)中根本不存在，這種不是真實(shí)世界中的友情就是virtual friendship（虛擬友情），“虛擬朋友”就是virtual friend。由于網(wǎng)絡(luò)本身就是虛擬的，我們把這個(gè)世界叫做 virtual world。
很多人在網(wǎng)上和陌生人交友提供的資料都不是真實(shí)的，所以，喜歡玩社交網(wǎng)站的千萬(wàn)不要陷入太深。
