伊拉克政府發(fā)言人5月31日表示，此前遭武裝分子綁架的伊安巴爾省省長拉哈·納瓦夫的尸體已經(jīng)被發(fā)現(xiàn)。外電報道如下：U.S. and Iraqi troops battled foreign fighters near the Syrian border and found the body of Anbar province's missing governor, the highest-ranking Iraqi official kidnapped since the fall of Saddam Hussein, authorities said Tuesday.
The announcement came as the Shiite-dominated parliament reached out to Iraq's disgruntled Sunni Arab minority by offering a role on the committee drafting a new constitution.
But in a development that could affect efforts to get Shiites and Sunnis working together, President Jalal Talabani said Saddam, a Sunni, could be put on trial in the next two months. The former dictator's lawyers said they knew nothing about that.

據(jù)悉，納瓦夫的尸體是兩天前在拉瓦(Rawa)附近的一幢房屋中被發(fā)現(xiàn)的，當時他被綁在一個瓦斯罐上。當時綁架納瓦夫的武裝分子同美軍部隊發(fā)生了沖突。戰(zhàn)斗結(jié)束后，美軍在納瓦夫的尸體旁還發(fā)現(xiàn)了兩名敘利亞人、一名約旦人和一名阿爾及利亞人的尸體。
