Internet users have voted overwhelmingly in favor of new holidays. Nearly 400,000 people had responded to the proposal by Friday.
Almost 90 percent of them supported increasing the number of legal holidays. Over 70 percent approved of shortening the May Day holiday and distributing the days to traditional festivals.
But many suggest the key to solving the overcrowding issue in the Golden weeks would be the enactment of paid vacation regulations, as people could opt to take their holidays at any time during the year.
