Abel Tesfaye，1990年2月16日出生在加拿大安大略士嘉伯，有埃塞俄比亞血統(tǒng)的加拿大歌手，制作人，以藝名The Weeknd而被人們所熟知。從小Tesfaye便受到了多種音樂風格的熏陶，靈魂，嘻哈，放克，獨立搖滾以及朋克都對他產(chǎn)生了很大的影響。2013年，The Weeknd發(fā)行了自己的首張錄音室專輯《Kiss Land》。知名MTV記者John Norris稱贊他為“Songbird of the generation”并將他比作“Best musical talent since Michael Jackson”。
