世界最小圣誕賀卡出爐
Scientists have produced what they believe is the world's smallest Christmas card, BBC reported. It was created by nanotechnologists at the University of Glasgow. It is so small that it could fit on to the surface of a postage stamp 8,276 times. The image, which measures 200x290 micro-meters, features a Christmas tree, and is etched on a tiny piece of glass. The applications are critical in the future development of the digital economy and could eventually find their way into cameras, televisions and computer screens to reduce manufacturing costs.(See photo)
據(jù)英國(guó)廣播公司報(bào)道，科學(xué)家制作出了號(hào)稱世界上最小的圣誕賀卡。這張圣誕賀卡是由英國(guó)格拉斯哥大學(xué)的納米技術(shù)科學(xué)家制作的，它是如此之小，其面積僅為200x290微米，只相當(dāng)于一張普通郵票的8276分之一。賀卡上圣誕樹的圖案是在一小塊玻璃上蝕刻而成的。納米技術(shù)的運(yùn)用對(duì)數(shù)碼經(jīng)濟(jì)的未來發(fā)展至關(guān)重要，并將最終運(yùn)用在照相機(jī)、電視和電腦屏幕上，以便降低生產(chǎn)成本。(見圖)
