Russian police said an explosion before dawn Wednesday badly damaged one of the best-known statues of Vladimir Lenin remaining in St. Petersburg, leaving a large hole in Lenin's coat. A city police spokesman said no one was injured in the blast, the motive for which was unknown. The bomb had the power of about 400g of TNT, he said.(See photo)
俄羅斯警方證實，1日凌晨，位于圣彼得堡的一尊列寧銅像遭炸彈襲擊，受損嚴重，列寧"風(fēng)衣"被炸出一個大洞。警方發(fā)言人稱，炸彈威力相當于400克TNT炸藥的威力，所幸事件中沒有人員傷亡，爆炸原因仍在調(diào)查中。(見圖)
