全國開展“無車日”活動

中國城市“公交周及無車日活動”自昨日起在全國108個城市同時舉行。北京、上海、天津、杭州等城市均宣布加入這一活動。那么，“無車日”怎么說呢？

The campaign, with an attempt to raise residents' awareness on energy saving and environmental protection, encourages people to walk, ride bicycles and take public transport facilities like buses and subways rather than drive private cars.
During the campaign, the 108 cities will set one or more zones which open only to pedestrians, cyclists, taxi and bus passengers between 7 am and 7 pm on September 22, or the "No Car Day".
報道中說，活動期間，108個城市將在9月22日7時至19時組織“無車日”活動，號召市民盡可能選用公共交通、自行車、步行等方式出行，減少對小汽車的使用和依賴。政府將劃定一個或數(shù)個區(qū)域（道路）只對行人、自行車、公共汽車、出租汽車等開放，提高居民節(jié)約能源與環(huán)境保護的意識。
這里的“No Car Day” 就是“無車日”；另外，“公交周”可以說成“traffic week”，“綠色公交周”就是“green traffic week”。
