"My Way" 征文大賽三等獎作品 作者:北京聯(lián)合大學(xué)應(yīng)用文理學(xué)院 楊冬妮
Nowadays, we are confronting with the varied world; consequently, the question of how to deal with it arises. Different people hold different ideas. Some people claim that we'd better accept it, for the rules that are supposed to be truth are set by our ancestors. Only can we do is to follow up. On the contrary, others argue that it's time that we changed the world. They devoted themselves to abolishing the out-dated rules and define the new trend. What they have done demonstrates the old saying "Progress with time". It's apparent that they both have sensible reasons. But as far as I'm concerned, every garden has weeds, in other words, every coin has two sides. We should balance advantages with disadvantages. In my opinion, self-assurance is of paramount importance in getting accustomed to the changing world. There are many examples to illustrate the topic.
First and foremost, there is no one but knows Bill Gates, a distinguished person contributing to human beings. On one hand, he had done plentiful extraordinary achievements on computers. On the other hand, Gates donated his possessions to charities so as to help the poor receive higher education. What's more, he continued to commit to program the advanced software with time going on. However, behind the shines, there were some demerits. Gates quitted the promising university---Harvard---at junior, hence he can concentrate on his career. From Gate's story, we can draw a conclusion---On no account can you ignore yourself. You yourself are the key to the question of accepting or changing the world. Gates had faith in himself and made his decision after second thoughts.
In the second place, let's turn to Stephen Hawking, who exerts a profound effect on physics-----the well-known masterpiece---The brief history of time, for more suggestions. Hawking has been handicapped since he was young. Instead of bringing his knees to life, he stood on his own feet. Not only did he discover the mystery of the universe, but also encouraged disabled people alike to take positive attitude towards life. All that he did shows that Hawking is intelligent, diligent and above all confident, though paralyzed. According to Hawking, we can learn a lesson "The mould of a man's fortune is in his own hands". No matter how terrible the situation you are in, you can also change the adversity by yourself. Just as the old saying goes "Man dooms to triumph over fate".
Last but not least, everything won't go very smoothly in your whole life. It is filled with difficulties, puzzles, temptations and even sufferings. The more you make through, the more experienced you will be. At present, the increasing numbers of people hold the view that the world is unfair. They are depressed by their appearances, study, work, etc. On top of that, they take too much of other's views. Frankly speaking, it's what you are that really counts, so just keep being yourself, that's all that matters. Moreover, we cannot emphasize the importance of confident too much. In addition, compared with one who is prominent, you have your own personality beyond others, that is to say, you are nothing but exceptional.
The demanding topic reminds me a song by Hins-my way---I will find my way, I want a different way, after the wind and rain, there will be a brand new day. I will find my way, I want a different way, and nothing can stop me now, no matter what they say. Please do as the song tells us.
Taking all the above into consideration, I'd like to end up my article with a famous saying from Oprah Winfrey---All my life I was always known I was born to greatness.
Please keep in mind"Be yourself and believe in yourself that you are unique, outstanding and excellent."
