麥克白死了 ,但依舊是國王萬歲！在夜色掩護下，一隊英國軍人橫掃國境，殺死暴君并統(tǒng)治國家。軍中大將西華德嘗試恢復(fù)和平并推舉新的統(tǒng)治者，軍隊四面楚歌，被殘忍的叛亂游擊隊重重包圍。與此同時，他也在努力適應(yīng)當(dāng)?shù)氐牧?xí)俗和這個國家固有的粗暴統(tǒng)治。他發(fā)現(xiàn)他被麥克白的皇后深深吸引，他需要一個人來分擔(dān)他的重任。即使被自己的伙伴以及來自蘇格蘭的同盟軍孤立，西華德依然努力去修復(fù)那些名存實亡、失效失控的秩序。
大衛(wèi) ?格里格的這部作品表達了人類在戰(zhàn)亂后為重建一片狼藉的家園所做出的勇敢嘗試，它堪稱《麥克白》完美的續(xù)寫。
導(dǎo)演：羅克珊娜 ? 希爾伯特
羅克珊娜 ? 希爾伯特是英國最著名的女性戲劇導(dǎo)演之一，現(xiàn)任伯明翰戲劇院藝術(shù)總監(jiān)。在此之前，她是皇家莎士比亞劇團的副總監(jiān)。她曾參與的作品有：《伽利略》、《以牙還牙》、《理查三世》和《麥克白后傳》等。其中，《麥克白后傳》被譽為希爾伯特在皇家莎士比亞劇團執(zhí)導(dǎo)的最優(yōu)秀的作品。希爾伯特還曾擔(dān)任Paines Plough 劇院藝術(shù)總監(jiān)、特拉弗斯劇院文學(xué)顧問，并以獨立導(dǎo)演的身份為英國多家知名劇院執(zhí)導(dǎo)戲劇作品。如《黑旗之下》（莎士比亞環(huán)球劇場）、《財產(chǎn)》（倫敦國家劇院）等。

Macbeth is dead, long live the King. Under cover of night, an English army has swept through the Scottish landscape, killed the tyrant and taken the seat of power.
Attempting to restore peace and put in place a new ruler, Siward, the commanding officer, is beset by a brutal guerrilla uprising and simmering discontent amongst his own inexperienced troops. Struggling to grasp the alien customs and politics of this harsh country, he finds himself drawn towards Macbeth’s powerful widow in search of someone to share his burden of responsibility. Increasingly isolated from his own men and Scottish allies alike, his efforts to restore order appear futile as the situation spins out of control.

Roxana is Artistic Director of Birmingham Repertory Theatre. Previously, she was Associate Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company, where her work included: A Soldier in Every Son, Galileo, Measure for Measure, Richard III, Shakespeare Shorts, Such Tweet Sorrow (the world’s first Twitter play), Little Eagles, Dunsinane and Brixton Stories.
Her freelance work includes: Whistle in the Dark (Citizens, Glasgow); Under the Black Flag (Shakespeare’sGlobe); Precious and Blonde Bombshells of 1943 (West Yorkshire Playhouse); Property (National Theatre Studio,London); Damages (the Bush); The Price (Bolton Octagon); Top Girls and Translations (New Vic); Cadillac Ranch (Soho) and Slash Hatch on the E (Donmar).
