Wrestlemania
In a show of goodwill and to help foster peaceful international relations, professional wrestlers have descended upon Pyongyang, Democratic People's Republic of Korea. There about 20 international wrestlers including those from the US and Japan put on a show of athleticism for DPRK crowds. Supposedly over 13,000 spectators showed up to watch the "wrestlemania".
No pants
The building in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, called the Gates of the Orient is continuing to draw netizen mockery. The building, started in 2004 is still unfinished. People have compared it to a pair of unfinished pants. Originally meant to mirror the Arch de Triomphe in Paris, the building is now called the unfinished trousers.
The Fappening
In September 1, 2014, the internet as we knew it blew up in what is called the "Fappening". Basically what happened was a major breech in internet security. Over 30 celebrities had their private data broken into and their private photos and videos leaked online. These leaked personal data is both illegal and totally not safe for work, so we here at the Week won't link to it. All of this is reminiscent of the scandal that hit Hong Kong movie star Edison Chen. Chen, who took his computer in for repair had all of his dirty laundry aired online. The moral of the "Fappening" and the Chen scandal is to not put dirty photos or videos on electronic devices.
