Since 1994, Kenny Chesney has sold more than 30 million albums, topped the Country singles chart 23 times and entertained over 11 million fans at his concerts. His success is not slowing down, thanks to his latest album, Welcome To The Fishbowl.
“Feel Like A Rock Star” was the first single released from Chesney’s new album. The recent Top 10 hit is a duet with his longtime friend Tim McGraw. As of late July, their co-headlining “Brothers of the Sun” stadium concerts grossed $4.2 million, more than any other US summer tour.
“Welcome To The Fishbowl” is the third album Chesney has released on his own Blue Chair Records.
“I moved to Nashville to be a songwriter, so to have my own label imprint feels like beyond a dream come true," he said. "‘Welcome To The Fishbowl’ is the most honest and authentic album I’ve ever recorded, and I’m thrilled to be able to release it on my own Blue Chair Records.”
The collection became Chesney's 11th consecutive Number One debut on the Country Albums chart. His recent Number One single, “Come Over,” was one of the fastest rising chart hits of his career. It took only 11 weeks to reach the top of the Country chart where the song spent two weeks.
Another highlight on “Welcome To The Fishbowl” is the live bonus track, “You and Tequila.” The song is a duet Kenny recorded with folk-rock singer Grace Potter for his 2010 album Hemingway’s Whiskey. The million-selling track was a Number 3 hit on the Country chart last year.
Potter is opening concerts on Chesney's current North American tour.
