Singapore: Gays miss out in sex laws
Singapore’s government have passed a law decriminalizing oral and anal sex for adult heterosexuals but kept a ban on gay sex.
Advocates for the decriminalization of gay sex said yesterday they were disappointed but hopes for more informal dialogue on the issue in the future.
Parliament passed the law on Tuesday in the most extensive revision of the Penal Code in more than two decades.

China: Lake research
Construction has begun on a center for academic research on Poyang Lake, China's largest freshwater lake in Jiangxi Province.
The center will be built in three years.
It will have a station and observation outpost that will track the environmental impact of the Three Gorges Dam on the Yangtze River, and a facility for the prevention and control of water-borne diseases.
Australia: Barmaid's unusual crush
An Australian barmaid has been fined for crushing beer cans between her bare breasts.
Police in Western Australia said the 31-year old barmaid pleaded guilty for exposing her breasts to patrons and workers at the Premier Hotel south of the state capital, Perth.
The woman whose now keeping her blouse firmly buttoned was fined $900 for the offence.
China: Koala twins feted at safari park birthday party
There was a special birthday party at Guangzhou Xiangjiang Safari Park on Monday.
Two female koala twins celebrated their first birthday.
Huan Huan and Le Le are the only known koala twins in the world.
Many tourists and park staff sang for the unique twins at the party, and Australian consul-general in Guangzhou cut the birthday cake.
