President Barack Obama unveiled his immigration plan, saying lifting the threat of expulsion from five million undocumented migrants would make the system "more fair and just."

奧巴馬總統(tǒng)公布了他的移民計(jì)劃，稱消除五百萬(wàn)非法移民被遣返的威脅會(huì)讓移民體系“更加公平和公正”。

奧巴馬通過(guò)行政命令（executive action）公布的移民計(jì)劃將允許已經(jīng)在美國(guó)非法居住滿5年且孩子出生在美國(guó)的非法移民申請(qǐng)為期三年的工作許可（undocumented migrants who have been living illegally in the United States for five years and have US-born children to apply for three-year work permits）。

這些移民將可以不再躲藏（come out of the shadows）, 通過(guò)犯罪記錄審查（undergo criminal records checks），并交納適當(dāng)?shù)亩愂眨?strong>pay proper taxes），以申請(qǐng)更長(zhǎng)時(shí)間的居留許可（apply for longer-term residency）。
