全國(guó)開展“無(wú)車日”活動(dòng)

中國(guó)城市“公交周及無(wú)車日活動(dòng)”自昨日起在全國(guó)108個(gè)城市同時(shí)舉行。北京、上海、天津、杭州等城市均宣布加入這一活動(dòng)。那么，“無(wú)車日”怎么說呢？

The campaign, with an attempt to raise residents' awareness on energy saving and environmental protection, encourages people to walk, ride bicycles and take public transport facilities like buses and subways rather than drive private cars.
During the campaign, the 108 cities will set one or more zones which open only to pedestrians, cyclists, taxi and bus passengers between 7 am and 7 pm on September 22, or the "No Car Day".
報(bào)道中說，活動(dòng)期間，108個(gè)城市將在9月22日7時(shí)至19時(shí)組織“無(wú)車日”活動(dòng)，號(hào)召市民盡可能選用公共交通、自行車、步行等方式出行，減少對(duì)小汽車的使用和依賴。政府將劃定一個(gè)或數(shù)個(gè)區(qū)域（道路）只對(duì)行人、自行車、公共汽車、出租汽車等開放，提高居民節(jié)約能源與環(huán)境保護(hù)的意識(shí)。
這里的“No Car Day” 就是“無(wú)車日”；另外，“公交周”可以說成“traffic week”，“綠色公交周”就是“green traffic week”。
