“蓋帽高手”怎么說

易建聯(lián)參加今年選秀大會已經(jīng)不是新聞了，不過隨著他距離NBA的日子越來越近，外界對他的評論也隨之增多，其中不乏有關他是否具備在NBA中站穩(wěn)腳跟的能力，那么作為“先行者”的姚明又是如何看待這位中國籃球新星的呢？

由報道可知，籃球術語“蓋帽高手”相應的英文表達是“good shot
blocker”，“shot”在此指“投籃”。漢語中，進攻隊員投籃或上籃時，將球舉到最高點或球剛離手的一剎那，防守隊員立即跳起將球打落，稱為“蓋帽”。英語中，“to
block shot”（直譯：攔截進球）較好的體現(xiàn)了“蓋帽”的含義。
日常運用中，“蓋帽”做名次時可用“block”來形容，做動詞時可用“to block shot”來表達。“蓋帽高手”則是“good shot
blocker”。
看下面一個例句：In his fifth season, Yao is 11th in the league with 26.4 points per
game, the best among centers. With 10.4 rebounds per game and 1.6 blocks, Yao
finally is entering the stratosphere of elite big men.
