趕在“中非合作論壇”召開之前，我們看到了這條花絮：非洲國(guó)家駐北京大使的妻子通過(guò)UNICEF（聯(lián)合國(guó)兒童基金會(huì)）向中國(guó)流浪兒童捐錢捐物，這些孩子由于父母離異或家庭暴力而離家出走、四處流浪。

The children turn to the streets due to family neglect, parents' divorce, and
domestic violence.
“家庭暴力”可以說(shuō)是當(dāng)前社會(huì)的熱門詞匯。由報(bào)道可知，“家庭暴力”的地道說(shuō)法是“domestic violence”，也可稱作“family
violence”。Domestic指的是“家務(wù)的、與家庭有關(guān)”，如：domestic chores（家務(wù)活）；domestic joys（家庭樂(lè)趣）。
另外，domestic也常用來(lái)形容“國(guó)內(nèi)的、馴養(yǎng)的”，如：domestic wine（國(guó)產(chǎn)酒）；domestic cat（家貓）。
看個(gè)例句：One of the greatest challenges facing the domestic violence movement is
the widespread perception that spousal abuse is a "private
matter".（人們普遍認(rèn)為伴侶間施虐是“個(gè)人私事”，由此大大阻礙了反家庭暴力運(yùn)動(dòng)的開展。）
